Derek Price - Director & Editor

Derek Price is a creative storyteller with extensive experience directing and editing long and short-form documentary and lifestyle narratives, as well as scripted branded content videos. As of 2021, he has more than 50 hours of broadcast credits.

Recent long-form directing and editing experiences include GustoTV’s 1-hour holiday specials “Christmas with Bonacini” and “Spencer’s Holiday BBQ”, original 30-min series’ “Let’s Brunch: Seasons 1 & 2” and “Pressure’s On”, as well as seasons of “One Big Recipe”, “CombiNATION Plates”, “Spencer’s Big 30”, “Watts on the Grill”, and “Flour Power: Spring Specials”. These are available in Canada on CTV Life/Bell Media and over 10 of Gusto TV’s international channels. 

Derek is also the director and editor of both seasons of the docu-series ”Vs.: Women in Combat Sports". Season 2 is premiering in 2021, and Season 1 is available on FITE.tv and Bell Fibe TV1. Other credits include Director of Photography on the Amazon Original Series “No Easy Days” and the independent feature film “Reliving Marilyn” (Amazon).

Derek has achieved notable short-form success co-producing, directing, and editing the cine-poem “Primary Colours”, which screened at 32 film festivals worldwide and received the Best Micro-Short Award at the Social Justice Film Festival. The short film is distributed through the Canadian Filmmakers Distribution Centre (CFMDC).

Derek has productions available on Netflix, Amazon, CTV, Crave, CBC Gem, FITE TV, and Fibe TV1.
